Preparation
Ensure your walls are fully prepared to ensure you get the best results from your paint.
- Newly plastered walls will need to fully dry out this usually takes between four to six days. Once dried we recommend applying a mist coat to seal and ensure adhesion.
- Ensure to fill any cracks or holes with a suitable filler such as then sand to a smooth surface.
- Lightly sand and clean previously painted walls to ensure the paint adheres.
Application
We always recommend testing your chosen paint colour prior to painting, all Craig and Rose colours are available in 50ml tester pots for you to try at home.
- Always thoroughly stir the paint as pigment can occasionally settle to the bottom and stirring the paint ensures you get a consistent colour.
- Apply using a good quality synthetic brush and a short/medium pile roller.
- As with most emulsion paints start at the edges of your walls and cut in, for straight lines we recommend an angled synthetic brush or a good quality masking tape designed to stop paint bleed.
- Fill in the remaining area using a roller.
- We recommend applying two coats, however, if you require a strong change of colour you may need a further coat.
- Craig & Rose chalky emulsion will be surface dry in 1-2 hours and ready for recoat in 4 hours meaning less disruption to family life.
- The paint will be fully cured in 7 days.
